A welcome in, motion inserts for creators, and a calmer editor.

- **Anyone can download Vidiyo now.** Sign in with your email. If you're not in the beta yet, click **Email me when I'm in**; the app opens by itself once you're let in.
- **A proper hello** when you first get in.
- **Creator inserts** in motion: a post card, a browser window, a flow, logo rows and a screenshot highlight. The AI can also frame a clip over the speaker or put two clips side by side.
- **Text and shapes come from the canvas toolbar**, and the inspector's Style section restyles them without moving or retiming them.
- **A quieter editor.** Inspector sections open only when you use them, and settings for optional keys fold away.
- **A new demo project:** a real talking-head take with brand, captions, motion, music and sound.
- **Faster tab switching**, and the tab strip keeps the active tab in view.

A faster, cheaper AI editor, results you can watch in the chat, and hands-on layer editing.

- **Watch each result in the chat.** When the AI finishes an edit, a short preview renders under its reply; click it to play it full size. Then tell us **how the result was** with 1–5 stars.
- **Produced edits in about half the time and cost.** The AI does the same edit in far fewer steps, and fixes its own mistakes in one try.
- **Edit layers by hand.** Draw text and shapes straight on the video, animate them with keyframes, and link their colours and fonts to your brand in the new Brand panel.
- **Media folders.** Imported files sort into folders, and the AI keeps them organised as it adds b-roll, music and sound.
- **Stock footage and photos from Pixabay** with no key to set up.
- **Transcription runs on your Mac.** English is built in; download the language pack for other languages. Fixed transcripts that failed on some footage.
- **Use your ChatGPT plan** as well as Claude, from Settings → Assistant.
- While the AI works, **send another message to steer it**, and press **Tab** to use its suggested next request.
- **Settings → Memory** shows and edits what the AI remembers about you and each project.

Feedback, smoother updates, and a few fixes.

- **Send feedback or report a problem** from the Help menu or Settings → Account. You can attach a screenshot and the recent app log (secrets are removed automatically).
- **Updates** now appear as a small banner with what changed; restart when it suits you.
- **What's new** shows once after each update.
- Vidiyo now records how features are used and keeps your AI conversations (without images or attachments) so we can find what's broken during the beta. Your media and sign-ins never leave your Mac.
- A log file is kept at ~/Library/Logs/Vidiyo (Help → Open Logs Folder).

First friends beta.

- Sign in with the email your invite went to; a 6-digit code arrives by email.
- First-run setup: connect Vidiyo's assistant to your Claude subscription, download the local transcription model, open a demo project.
- Every feature that needs extra setup now explains what to do instead of failing.
- Music downloads on first use, so the app is about half the size.
- Updates install automatically on restart.
