> TL;DR: Type "Warm up the color" and Vidiyo measures brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth in your footage, corrects anything off, then shifts the grade warmer while keeping skin tones natural. Every clip from the same camera gets the same settings, and it reports the numbers before and after.

## What Vidiyo does

1. Looks at a representative frame of each clip and measures brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth.
2. Corrects exposure, contrast and white balance first if they're off.
3. Shifts the temperature warmer in small steps, starting from a named look when one fits.
4. Applies the same settings to every clip from the same camera and scene.
5. Measures the frames again and reports the before and after values.

A slightly cool, flat picture is common with webcams and phone footage under indoor light. Warming it up makes skin look healthier and the room feel friendlier. This prompt does it from measurements, so it corrects first and then grades.

## What does Vidiyo do when you say this?

Vidiyo measures a representative frame from each clip, corrects exposure, contrast and white balance if they're off, then shifts the temperature warmer in small steps. Skin tones stay natural rather than turning orange. Every clip from the same camera and scene gets the same settings, and the assistant reports the numbers before and after.

Each frame the assistant looks at comes with measured brightness, clipped highlights, crushed shadows, saturation and a warmth value. It works from those as well as from the picture. When a named look like warm daylight fits, it starts there and adjusts from the corrected values, instead of replacing the correction with a preset.

## How do you phrase it?

Describe the feel, or the problem:

- "Warm up the color"
- "It looks a bit blue, fix the white balance"
- "Make it warmer and a little brighter"
- "Give it a soft film look"
- "Match the second camera to the main one"

"A bit", "a little" and "much" change the size of the step. A felt note like "it looks dull" gets read as contrast or saturation and fixed accordingly.

## How would you do this by hand?

By hand, you'd open a colour panel, nudge temperature and tint while watching skin tones, check scopes for exposure and saturation, then copy the settings to every clip from that camera. Matching a second camera means going back and forth between shots. It's quick if you know grading, and slow if you don't. Here the measurements stand in for the scopes, and the same settings land on every matching clip at once.

## What should you check afterwards?

Look at skin first, then whites like a wall or a shirt. If faces look orange, ask to pull it back a step. Check the brightest part of the frame for clipped highlights. Vidiyo's colour tools are basic, so a heavy stylised grade is better done in a dedicated grading app.

## Honest limits

- Colour tools are basic: no curves, colour wheels or LUT import.

## Frequently asked questions

### What colour controls does Vidiyo have?

Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, temperature, tint, saturation and vibrance per clip, plus named looks such as warm daylight, clean studio, soft skin, teal and orange and film fade. They're basic grading tools, not a full colour suite.

### Can I adjust the colour by hand?

Yes. The clip inspector has a Colour section with the looks and a slider for each setting. The assistant's changes show up there.

### Can it match two cameras?

Yes. Ask to match the second camera to the main one, and it brings brightness, warmth and tint close using the measurements from both.
